Actor Song Hyekyo delivered a twist with a late-night snack verification video.
Song Hyekyo posted a video late on the 13th with the short remark, "♥I like it~".
In the released video, Song Hyekyo is shown finishing a delicious kimchi fried rice. Song Hyekyo made kimchi fried rice using simple ingredients such as rice, kimchi, and green onions, and topped it with two well-cooked fried eggs to complete a mouthwatering dish. In particular, the actress drew attention by posting a late-night snack video, seemingly forgetting about maintaining her figure.
Earlier, Song Hyekyo was considered one of the "ultimate dieters" in the entertainment industry. In her twenties she was loved for a slightly chubby face and image, but she reportedly lost 17 kg to change her image. The tofu diet, known as the so-called "Song Hyekyo diet," involved eating normal meals for breakfast and lunch and raw tofu for dinner. She fasted after 7 p.m. every day and combined diet and exercise by walking four hours a day.
Also, Song Hyekyo confessed to having a hearty, older-man palate on a YouTube channel last December.
She said, "After filming I go to eat gopchang. I drink a glass of soju and beer with gopchang, and I also like chilled pork belly," and added, "In winter, my favorite seasonal dish is braised sandfish. Since childhood my mother made braised sandfish for me, so when this season comes braised sandfish is the first thing I think of."
Meanwhile, Song Hyekyo is set to appear in the new Netflix series Tantara, which had a production budget of 80 billion won. The work was written by screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung and directed by Lee Yun-jeong of Coffee Prince. Song Hyekyo, Gong Yoo, Cha Seung-won, Kim Seolhyun, Lee Ha-nee and others appear in the series, which depicts the coming-of-age stories of those who threw themselves into pursuing dazzling success against the backdrop of Korea's entertainment industry from the 1960s to the 1980s, when barbarism and violence ran rampant.
