"I'm SOLO (SOLO)" stirred controversy over alleged bullying and behind-the-back talk among season 31 contestants, and the production team once again announced its editing policy.
On the 14th, a representative of ENA and SBS Plus variety show I'm SOLO (abbreviated as NaSol) told OSEN that regarding the recent controversy over alleged ostracism and behind-the-back talk by some season 31 contestants currently airing, they would broadcast according to the flow of the content.
In the recently aired season 31 of I'm SOLO, controversy has arisen as episodes showed what appeared to be female contestants Ok-sun, Young-sook and Jeong-hee excluding another female contestant, Soon-ja, with Ok-sun, Young-sook and Jeong-hee seemingly making sarcastic or negative comments about Soon-ja right in front of her, an example of so-called "behind-the-back talk" being broadcast.
Soon-ja, who had been intimidated by the sharp words directed at her, left the accommodation to collect herself and was shown in tears. Other season 31 contestants did not do housework such as breakfast until Soon-ja returned, and only after she came back did they appear to put the kitchen work on her by preparing meals, which drew strong criticism.
As a result, criticism has emerged against some season 31 contestants of I'm SOLO, particularly Ok-sun, Young-ja and Jeong-hee. Amid growing viewer calls to edit their appearances, the production team announced its editing policy.
Meanwhile, in episode 253 broadcast on the 13th, Soon-ja showed acute gastric cramps from stress due to conflict with the contestants. Even so, Young-ja was seen smiling in front of Soon-ja, and when she stumbled in a game because of her own foot, it was mistaken as Soon-ja's fault; the ensuing behind-the-back talk led Soon-ja to cry again, evoking sympathy. Attention continues to focus on the developments of I'm SOLO season 31.
