Four-member band Dragon Pony (Dragon Pony) is rapidly emerging as the new "festival cheat code" of the band scene amid a flood of love calls as college festival season arrives.
Dragon Pony (An Taegyu, Pyeon Seonghyun, Kwon Sehyuk, Go Ganghun) took the stage at Hongik University's festival on the 13th and poured out explosive energy, leaving a strong impression across college campuses.
That day Dragon Pony opened with "Morse code" and went on to perform their signature songs reflecting their style one after another, including "Waste", "Zombie", "The snake that eats its tail", and "Ah, everything goes my way!" Their distinctive sound, both powerful and refreshing, instantly united the audience, and the campus-filled "group singing" made the band's elevated status palpable.
Especially on the "Not Out" and "POP UP" stages, they channeled the fervent cries of youth into traditional rock sounds, sending the audience's adrenaline soaring. Dragon Pony showcased not only dazzling instrumental skills but also a relaxed stage manner that met students' eyes and breathed with them between performances.
The heat at Hongik University is only the beginning. Dragon Pony will also appear on the lineups for Hanyang University on the 27th and Yonsei University on the 28th, continuing their "college scene trend" trajectory. They are growing their presence in the band scene by dominating not only domestic and international festivals but also college campuses.
Dragon Pony recently released their third EP, "RUN RUN RUN." The band is also establishing itself as a "self-producing band" with all members participating in songwriting.<
