Forget the chubby Kim Min-ha.
Actress Kim Min-ha has become the epitome of being "skin-and-bones." With a tiny ant waist, square shoulders and delicate leg lines, she completed a frail-looking fit. Instead of the plump beauty who appealed with a fresh charm from her debut to recently, she shows a slender new look.
On the afternoon of the 14th, Kim Min-ha posted several photos on her SNS with no particular explanation, only emojis. The released photos showed Kim Min-ha visiting an exhibition. She wore her hair in an updo, a white sleeveless top, pale pink pants filled with floral patterns and matched them with gold flat shoes.
Kim Min-ha posed for verification photos with a playful expression, or held a champagne glass and moved as if dancing, clearly excited. She also met acquaintances to take mirror selfies and left verification photos throughout the exhibition hall.
What drew particular attention was Kim Min-ha's transformation. Kim Min-ha returned looking markedly slimmer, as had recently become a topic of conversation. In earlier updates released a few times, her visuals showed noticeably more weight loss compared with previous works. Five days earlier, her back alone had revealed an extremely thin appearance.
In the latest released update, Kim Min-ha's previously chubby cheeks had disappeared and a sharp jawline was revealed. Her slender arms that seemed to fit in one hand and a cinched waistline stood out especially. Interest is once again gathering around Kim Min-ha's sudden transformation.
Kim Min-ha previously expressed her convictions about dieting as an actor. In an interview after the end of Typhoon Family, she said, "What I want to fight against is expressions like 'Why is the actor fat? Why do they have freckles?' It's about trying to fit everything into a standardized beauty. Everyone has their own charm, and it seems people find it hard to hear those kinds of comments."
Kim Min-ha is filming the Netflix movie "Byeoljit" with actor Noh Sang Hyun, and she also appears in the Netflix series "Perfect Job" and the Disney+ series "The Miracles of Namiya General Store," which will be released next year.
