Singer and actress Nana is drawing renewed attention after overcoming the shock of a home robbery and this time expressing strong anger toward ticket scalping. After confessing the trauma of having personally subdued the robber, she made clear her convictions by taking a firm stance against scalpers who undermine fans and public-interest causes.
Nana recently appeared in person as a witness in the trial over the home intrusion and robbery held at the Gyeonggi Uijeongbu District Court Namyangju Branch. As she entered the courtroom, she could not hide her intense emotions and said to the defendant, "Are you having fun? Look me in the eye."
At the time, Nana said she heard her mother moaning and went into the living room, where she fought with a robber who was armed with a weapon. She recalled, "The only thought was that I had to separate my mother and me," and "Even seeing the knife, I instinctively thought I had to block it."
Meanwhile, Nana recently spoke out about another issue: ticket scalping. Through her social media, she strongly warned, "I will not buy scalped tickets. Cancel the transaction again. Transfers are absolutely not allowed." She added, "Scalpers, are you watching? I am watching with my eyes wide open," expressing her anger.
What resonated particularly with fans was that this event was not just a simple fan event. Nana even shared a post written by a fan, which included the content, "All proceeds from this event will be used for public interest." Her stance signaled that she will no longer tolerate the situation in which an event organized for a good cause is used as a means for ticket scalping. Fans responded with comments such as "That's satisfying," "Scalping at public-interest events was worse," and "Thank you for stepping in personally."
Despite the great shock of being a robbery victim, Nana went to court to tell the truth and strongly warned against ticket scalping for the sake of her fans. Her sincere effort to protect her fans and her convictions through a firm stance is receiving further attention.
