Rapper Gary expressed bitterness over the KOSPI's rising market.
On the 13th, Gary posted on his personal social media, "What have I been doing all this time? Cheer up, fomo people," along with a screenshot of that day's KOSPI index chart.
The posted capture showed a close of 7,844.01, up 200.86 points (2.63%) from the previous day. It was a record high by closing price.
The KOSPI index surpassed 4,000 points for the first time in history in October last year, then broke through 5,000 points on Jan. 5, and on Feb. 25 it passed 6,000 for the first time in history. It then surpassed 7,000 points for the first time on the 6th and is now approaching a break through 8,000 points.
The 'FOMO' Gary mentioned is an abbreviation for Fear Of Missing Out and refers to the anxious psychology arising from fear of missing or being excluded and a sense of alienation. Recently, as the KOSPI index has surged, it also refers to the anxiety felt by people who were unable to enter the stock market.
Meanwhile, Gary married a noncelebrity 10 years his junior in 2017 and has one son.
