Actor Yoo Hai Jin donated 100 million won for cancer patients.
On the 13th, Asan Medical Center said Yoo Hai Jin donated 100 million won for cancer patient treatment. The hospital said it plans to use Yoo Hai Jin's donation to build advanced medical systems for cancer patients and improve treatment environments.
Regarding this donation, Yoo Hai Jin said, "I decided to support them in the hope that patients will overcome the difficult treatment process and regain ordinary daily life. I hope many cancer patients can receive treatment comfortably and safely in better environments," he told the hospital the reason for his support.
This is not Yoo Hai Jin's first donation. In 2022, he donated 50 million won to Asan Medical Center to support medical staff working on COVID-19 prevention efforts and to help with pediatric patient treatment.
He reportedly donated an additional 50 million won the following year. With this donation, Yoo Hai Jin's cumulative donations to Asan Medical Center total 200 million won.
Recently, buoyed by the film The King's Warden surpassing 16 million viewers, Yoo Hai Jin won the grand prize in the film category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards. Internet users have applauded him, calling it "the dignity of the grand prize." <
