From Lee Jun-ho to Ok Taecyeon, the full lineup of members gathered for 2PM's solo concert at Tokyo Dome in Japan, which successfully concluded.
2PM officially debuted in the music industry in 2008, made their local Japanese debut in 2011, and entered Tokyo Dome in 2013. They returned to the Tokyo Dome stage in 2016, and fulfilled their promise to "return" with the local debut 15th anniversary concert on May 9 and 10, 2026, '2PM Japan 15th Anniversary Concert "THE RETURN" in TOKYO DOME' (the return). Over the two performances, the Tokyo Dome comeback concert, held for the first time in 10 years, attracted a total of 85,000 spectators.
JUN. K (Jun. K), Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Jun-ho and Chansung greeted the large audience with performances lasting more than three hours per show, filled with hit songs from Korea and locally released tracks. Starting with their Japanese debut single Take off released in May 2011, the second single I'm your man in August 2011 cemented the unique appeal of a K-pop male idol group in the local music market; the third single Ultra Lover in November 2011 became their third consecutive hit single the year they debuted; and the single Guilty Love, released in January 2015, topped the Oricon daily and weekly charts in Japan. A total of 25 songs echoed through Tokyo Dome.
With six distinct timbres and clear vocals, 2PM said, "This Tokyo Dome show was a set list that condensed 'all of 2PM.' We considered adding more ballads, but we wanted to properly show a 2PM-like appearance, so we composed (the intense) performances this way. Our shirts inside the jackets are soaked, so please cheer as loudly as the sweat we shed," drawing enthusiastic support.
When the members greeted the audience in Japanese with "We are back. We are 2PM," the audience responded loudly with "welcome back." The addictive melodies of the original Japanese songs, as well as the romantic message that "no matter what difficulties there are, I will protect you and this fate to the end," heated up the concert atmosphere even more.
Here, the signature "human tower" choreography of Heartbeat, the rotating top point of the Japanese-version of Our House, and especially in I'm your man, when all six members tore off their shirts, an overwhelming roar seemed to pierce the Tokyo Dome ceiling, showing that the Hottest (fandom name) enthusiasm remained as intense as 2PM's skills. The vivid stage blocking and screen usage, deployment of a large dancer crew, and in the latter part of the show the members rode balloon devices reminiscent of hot-air balloons as they traversed various parts of the Tokyo Dome's upper areas.
2PM each revealed their deeply moving personal impressions. Jun. K said, "Ten years ago here at Tokyo Dome I promised I would return, and just being able to stand here makes me happy. 2PM exists because of the Hottest. Thank you for protecting us. The dream stage Tokyo Dome is an indescribable feeling, and we will continue to try to deliver happy energy. We will definitely return," Nichkhun said, "These two days were like a dream that passed too quickly. I feel your long-lasting love. This is a day I will never forget, and I am grateful for your love and patience. Thanks to the fans, the six members were able to practice and show a great performance. We will meet again. So please always stay healthy and happy," he said.
Taecyeon said, "After a long time, standing on stage with all six members and facing the audience made me realize I am truly a happy person. If you continue to protect and love 2PM, we will return. Taecyeon, the man who keeps his promises: we shared our twenties and thirties with you, so let's be together in our forties, fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties. Take care of your knees and stay healthy until the day we meet again," and Wooyoung said, "Whenever I did solo activities I promised that one day the six of us would be on stage together, and that day has come. Hottest are moving. Today I felt once again that activities as 2PM are the most important thing in my life. Thank you for being with us. Because today happened, there will be a next time."
Jun-ho also said, "This is not just a place where one can stand by being active for a long time, so meeting here feels like a miracle. Dancing and singing in front of you is so precious and feels like a treasure. We believe we are connected to each other, so we look forward to the day we meet again, and we are always sincerely grateful for the great affection," and Chansung said, "I realized that the 'meaning of 2PM' you think about is very deep. Hottest are the stars shining in 2PM's night sky. Thank you for waiting and protecting us for a long time. From the stage I can see the audience's expressions well, and seeing eyes full of affection gives me strength. Thanks to you we were able to perform in good health," expressing gratitude.
When asked for impressions from Hottest fans who came to the venue, they answered in unison as if by promise, "2PM is our strength." Naoko Watanabe said, "2PM is the 'strength to live' every day. When the six gather, their charm multiplies," and wiped tears of emotion. Rie, who came to Tokyo Dome with her mother, said, "The first time I saw a 2PM concert was the first Tokyo Dome in 2013, and now they're making a comeback like this — as expected, 2PM. Half of my life has been spent as a Hottest, so they are the 'youth' I cannot live without," expressing her excitement. JYP Entertainment's male idol lineage, to which 2PM represents a solid pillar, confirmed the group's vitality and the powerful relationship between fans and artists that transcends generational boundaries as they completed this Tokyo Dome concert. Over the two days, the members dramatically sang I'll Be Back -Japanese ver.- as the final song of the encore section and spoke about the continuation of the promise between Hottest and 2PM.
Meanwhile, 2PM announced that they will hold a domestic full-lineup solo concert, 2026 2PM Concert "THE RETURN" in INCHEON, at Incheon Inspire Arena on Aug. 8 and 9. This will come about three years after the debut 15th anniversary concert It's 2PM in September 2023, and is expected to quench fans' thirst.
Currently, 2PM members are actively pursuing individual activities in addition to group activities.
Lee Jun-ho is thriving as an actor and is filming the new series Viking; Jang Wooyoung is active on variety shows such as Screwballs: The Rival; Hwang Chansung recently left a strong impression in the Netflix series Bloodhounds 2. And Ok Taecyeon recently married his girlfriend of 10 years, becoming the second married man within 2PM.
