'You Quiz on the Block' Yu Jae-seok couldn't hold back laughter when listening to PD Kim Min-sik, known as 'Wolcheon Geosa,' talk about his retirement planning and investment strategies.
On the 13th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter 'You Quiz'), PD Kim Min-sik, who directed 'The queen of domestic support' and 'New Nonstop,' appeared. During 'The queen of domestic support,' Yu Jae-seok of the Infinite Challenge days had a connection through a special appearance.
Yu Jae-seok said, "He is PD Kim Min-sik, who planned his retirement well and earns 10 million won a month after retirement," and asked, "How did you plan your retirement?" Since he was 20, he had developed the habit of saving, economizing and accumulating to become rich. He worked as an interpreter and earned a lot of money on his own before finding enjoyment working as a producer.
Later, while living in Mapo he moved to Bundang with 100 million won in debt. When the world economy hit a crisis in 2008, Bundang apartment prices fell. PD Kim Min-sik said, "For the children's education we moved to a jeonse in Dogok-dong. We sold the Bundang apartment," and added, "But my spouse said, 'Let's rent out the Bundang apartment and move to Dogok-dong as a jeonse.'"
He said, "I couldn't do stocks. I couldn't stand seeing real estate prices falling. Every month the bank kept telling me to repay the loan. A person who only saved being told to pay something back drove me crazy." Yu Jae-seok quietly added, "Sorry, but your investment management is a mess," bringing laughter.
