"Cabbage Your Life" Park Sung-woong's wife Lee Soo-kyung ran away from home.
On the 14th, KBS 2TV miniseries "Cabbage Your Life" (directed by Choi Yeon-su, written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji) episode 8 will depict Sung Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) finding unexpected solace thanks to the help of Yeonriri residents.
Earlier, Sung Tae-hoon clashed with Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung) over their eldest son Sung Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jinwoo) dropping out of medical school and could not easily take anyone's side. On top of that, after uncovering past circumstances hidden between the company and Yeonriri, he received an offer from Executive Director Bae (played by Bae Ki-beom) promising promotion on the condition of cooperating with the project, plunging him into deep 고민.
As returning to headquarters would lead to the family's stability and happiness, attention is focused on Sung Tae-hoon's choice, and in episode 8 an event shakes the Sung family. Jo Mi-ryeo, shocked by Sung Ji-cheon's decision to leave medical school, ran away from home.
Startled by the sudden situation, Sung Tae-hoon frantically searches for his wife's whereabouts. Growing anxious, Sung Tae-hoon paces the streets with a worried expression, and as he cannot find Jo Mi-ryeo's whereabouts, his unease only deepens.
Sensing an unusual atmosphere hanging over the Sung household, Lee Seon-ja (played by Lee Seon-hee) and the elder residents of the "Rae sisters" band together to help Sung Tae-hoon. Amid rough but heartfelt rural hospitality, Sung Tae-hoon receives unexpected comfort and gradually experiences a change of heart. It raises curiosity about what exactly happened to this family and where Jo Mi-ryeo disappeared to.
Meanwhile, persuaded by Jo Mi-ryeo, Sung Ji-cheon, who had headed to Seoul, returns to Yeonriri and faces Sung Tae-hoon. The confrontation between father and son, who stood at a crossroads in life, prompts reflection on the meanings of expectations and choices between parents and children. Attention focuses on whether Sung Ji-cheon went through with quitting medical school despite his mother Jo Mi-ryeo's opposition, and what conclusion will come from a son wanting to live on his own terms and parents who cannot let go of their child.
The production team said, "In this episode, Jo Mi-ryeo's running away plunges the Sung household into great turmoil, and considerable changes come to each character's emotions. In particular, Sung Tae-hoon will, faced with an unexpected situation, reevaluate the meaning of family and experience significant inner growth."
