On the 13th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz'), Yu Yeol, who seven years ago was diagnosed with idiopathic pleuroparenchymal elastofibrosis and went on to receive a lung transplant, appeared.
Because it is a rare disease and there was no medicine to treat it, he ultimately had to receive a lung transplant and suffered disappointment twice right before his eyes. On top of that, during the second period he also had to endure the grief of his mother's death.
Yu Yeol said, "A second lung transplant was scheduled, but my mother passed away. On the day of the funeral procession I lost consciousness. The second lung transplant was decided, but it was canceled because the National Forensic Service said an autopsy was necessary," and added, "Until then I asked to be allowed to stay by my wife's and son's side. But after my mother's death and with the organ transplant canceled twice, I was so exhausted that I prayed for them to just take me," saying he lost his will to live.
