Actor Jun Ji-hyun shouted the famous line "Gyeon-woo ah~" from My Sassy Girl for the first time in 25 years.
On the 12th, the SHOWBOX channel uploaded a video titled "If someone asks about 'chemistry,' look up and watch team 'Gunch'."
Leading actors Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Changwook, Kim Shin-rock and Shin Hyun-been enjoyed themselves by introducing the film Gunch, sharing episodes, and answering related quizzes.
In particular, the next trailer drew attention as Jun Ji-hyun delivered a famous line from the 2026 version of My Sassy Girl. Jun Ji-hyun put her hands together and shouted, "Gyeon-woo, I guess I'm a woman who can't help it either," reenacting the iconic scene that moved everyone at the time. Koo Kyo-hwan and Ji Changwook, who had once embodied the male lead Gyeon-woo, cheered and emotionally cried, "Oh Gyeon-woo~," and Shin Hyun-been and Kim Shin-rock also wore happy expressions as if recalling those memories.
My Sassy Girl is a romantic comedy film released in 2001 starring Jun Ji-hyun and Cha Taehyun. It was a massive box-office success at the time and could be said to have made Jun Ji-hyun and Cha Taehyun who they are today. In particular, the scene in which the female lead Jun Ji-hyun climbs to the top of a mountain as she lets go of her boyfriend Gyeon-woo (played by Cha Taehyun) and, crying, says "Gyeon-woo, I guess I'm a woman who can't help it either" is still talked about today.
Meanwhile, Gunch (director Yeon Sang-ho, distributor SHOWBOX, produced by WOWPOINT·Smilegate, co-produced by Midnight Studio) is a zombie film that tells the story of survivors trapped inside a building sealed off by an unidentified outbreak who confront infected people who evolve in unpredictable ways. It was officially invited to the midnight screening section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which opened on the 12th (local time), and was screened for the first time worldwide, and it is scheduled to open domestically on the 21st.
