Singer Soyou was warned by staff for excessive "hip-up."
On the 11th, a video titled "Went to the emergency room while shooting a music video..." was uploaded to the Soyou-gi channel.
That day, Soyou revealed behind-the-scenes of the production of her third EP Off Hours, released on the 29th of last month. The video captured scenes from jacket shoots to recording and music video filming, drawing attention.
Soyou, who appeared wearing an outfit for the jacket shoot, said, "The pants are bigger than yesterday. But last night I ate pasta and salad and then slept." After finishing the shoot and monitoring, she expressed satisfaction, saying "It's good," and grumbled, "They tell me not to work out here?"
In response, a staff member tried to persuade her, saying, "This is different from getting thinner or making it bigger. Let's reduce the butt a little," and Soyou firmly replied, "Reduce it here? No, no, no."
A staff member explained the situation, saying, "But when we were looking for pants, your hips got so big that we said, 'Increase the pants size by one size,'" meaning the prepared outfit didn't fit.
Soyou retorted, "You're going to stop me from going to the gym?" and when a staff member said, "We have to stop you," she said, "I want to fill out the top more right now. Look. We had an agreement. You said up to 37 inches was fine."
The staff tried to persuade her, saying, "But I saw it today and I think reducing it a bit would look prettier," but Soyou did not budge, saying, "Rather than increasing volume, the upper hip here. For my satisfaction." Another staff member watching said with a shake of the head, "It's a confrontation of spear and shield."
Meanwhile, Soyou recently drew attention by revealing she lost 20kg through dieting and reached 48kg. Apart from dieting, she also shared that she has been consistently doing lower-body workouts to hip-up.
