The group IVE warned of strong legal action against indiscriminate malicious posts and rights violations targeting its members.
On the 12th, Starship Entertainment said on its official social media channels, "We are continuously taking legal action against individuals who produce and distribute malicious content targeting our artists, including defamation, spreading false information, sexual harassment, personal attacks, insults, invasion of privacy and other malicious slander against Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, Ray, Jang Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo."
It added, "These acts are clearly illegal, cannot be tolerated under any circumstances and cannot be justified for any reason. We make it clear that we will not show leniency or exceptions regarding these matters and will severely punish all responsible parties to the fullest extent permitted by law."
Starship Entertainment said, "Based on reports from fans and materials collected through our monitoring, we have filed complaints with investigative authorities regarding malicious posts on various platforms including X (formerly Twitter), DC Inside, Naver, Daum Cafe, Nate Pann, Instiz, The Qoo, MLB Park, FM Korea, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Regardless of whether the posts were deleted or set to private, or whether accounts were changed or deactivated, those posts have been submitted as evidence in criminal proceedings."
Starship Entertainment said, "In particular, we have secured substantial evidence of activities such as the production and distribution of malicious rumors and false information about our artists, posts that include mockery, slander and sexual content, and the production and distribution of manipulated materials such as deepfakes. We will continuously pursue severe legal measures, including criminal complaints and civil lawsuits, without leniency."
