Actor Son Ye-eun confessed that she felt reassured by Yoo Yeon-seok, with whom she worked through Phantom Lawyer.
Son Ye-eun, who appeared in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama Phantom Lawyer, which ended on the 2nd, recently shared her thoughts on finishing the project in a written interview with OSEN.
Phantom Lawyer is a peculiar yet warm revenge adventure about Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok), the "possessed lawyer" who thrillingly resolves the grudges of the deceased, and Han Na-hyun (Esom), the "cold-blooded elite lawyer" who stakes everything on winning. Son Ye-eun played Shin Sa-rang, Shin I-rang's older sister.
Son Ye-eun said of wrapping up Phantom Lawyer, "I am glad that, as I felt when I first received and read the script, many people seem to have felt comfort and warmth through this drama."
She said the reason she decided to take the role of Shin Sa-rang was, "From the moment I first received the script, I felt it was a 'truly good and warm drama.' I thought, 'If a work can bring a good influence to someone, I should happily participate.'"
How was the sibling chemistry with Yoo Yeon-seok? Son Ye-eun said, "I don't actually have a younger brother, but after trying sibling chemistry through the drama, I thought, 'If I really had a younger brother like this, I would feel very reassured and happy.'" She added, "Thanks to actor Yoo Yeon-seok, who is Shin I-rang himself, I think I was able to act comfortably every time we filmed."
In reality, Son Ye-eun is not an older sister with a younger brother but a younger sister with an older sister. Asked what she was like with her real older sister, she said, "I grew up as the youngest being cared for by my sister and family from childhood, so I grew up unaware of an older sister's feelings toward a younger sibling, but while working on this project I thought of my sister who always took care of me and gave me love, and she was actually very helpful."
