Girl group KIIRAS showed six members' dazzling visuals and bold ambitions.
KIIRAS recently displayed diverse charms during a photoshoot for the June issue of AtStyle in collaboration with skincare brand Palseakmiin.
Ahead of their first anniversary, KIIRAS returned with the new single "TA TA," introducing the song as "a completely different, kitschy and rhythmic Afrovitz genre" and showed strong confidence. In particular, they mentioned aespa, whose promotion period overlaps, saying "cautiously, but we definitely want to film a challenge together," a cute wish that drew attention.
The members' unusual backgrounds also drew attention. In particular, member Harin was revealed to be from an 'umchin-ttal' background who only studied so much that she ranked first in school, surprising many. Harin showed exceptional passion, saying "I couldn't give up my idol dream in my heart, so I moved to Seoul and tried auditions." She also showcased the group's capable nature by saying, for a flawless live performance called a "vocal strength show," "I practiced so much that the number of days off in a year can be counted on one hand."
As a multinational group led by Ringring from Malaysia, local reactions have been hot. They expressed overwhelming feelings, saying "When countless fans at the airport sang along, we really felt like idols."
KIIRAS named Blackpink as a role model and added, "Our goals for this promotion are to achieve a music show first-place and a fan concert, and in five years to definitely perform on the Coachella stage."
