Singer Bada has shown an exceptional love for the environment and continues her path as an "eco-friendly artist."
Recently, Bada was appointed an official ambassador, "Eco Friends," for the 23rd Seoul International Environmental Film Festival, which opens on June 5.
On the 21st of last month at the Rachel Carson Hall of the Environmental Foundation in Jung-gu, Seoul, Bada, who received the appointment plaque, said, "Just as I have always wanted to produce a clear and beautiful sound like the sea, from now on I will also raise a sincere voice for the environment," and her remarks received strong approval.
Bada's activities for environmental protection and a sustainable society did not end there. She also actively participated in a plogging campaign with fans.
Earlier, on April 29, a social contribution campaign, "Green Road – plogging with donations," organized by Uniqlo Myeong-dong store and the Environmental Foundation, took place around Myeong-dong in Seoul. About 40 people participated in the campaign, including Uniqlo Myeong-dong store employees, Environmental Foundation officials, civic volunteers, Bada's fan club "Calliope," and broadcaster Julian.
That day Bada spent a meaningful time practicing both environmental protection and health promotion by walking through the city with fans and picking up trash.
Bada's actions have special significance in that they move people beyond music on stage to environmental practice off stage. They show hope that small actions can accumulate into big changes and further expand their meaning through communal experiences with fans.
Regarding this, Bada said, "Just as songs convey feelings, I believe small actions for the environment can create a big resonance," and "I will continue the journey for the planet with my fans."
Meanwhile, Bada plans to continue her warm journey for the planet by expanding various environmental projects and campaigns, including participating with fans in the "Green Heart Jebudo beachcombing" activity on the 24th.
