Hyungwon of the group Monsta X will hold the mic at a global awards show for the second consecutive year.
Hyungwon will appear as the main MC on the first day of the third Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2026 (ASEA 2026), to be held on the 16th at Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and greet K-pop fans around the world.
At last year's ceremony, which was his first official appearance after being discharged, he received high marks for his fluent Japanese and excellent stage manner, and by serving as host for a second consecutive year he is expected to lead the festival more confidently and smoothly.
Through his agency Starship Entertainment, Hyungwon said he was "happy and grateful to be able to serve again this year as ASEA's MC following last year. During my last stage I built unforgettable memories with many artists and the fans who came to the venue, and I gained great motivation from that. I will do my best to repay that by showing an even better side of myself, so please look forward to it and support me."
His activities, which show limitless expansion into areas such as web variety show "Ttorora," producing, and DJing as well as his main career in music, will continue relentlessly after the awards. Alongside Monsta X's world tour The X: Nexus, which is currently proceeding successfully, he plans to fully meet global music fans' expectations by releasing the unit Shownu X Hyungwon's new album Love Me on the 21st, immediately after successfully completing the ASEA 2026 schedule.
