Broadcaster Kim Na-young recalled the time seven years ago when she was raising two sons alone and expressed a poignant heart.
Kim Na-young recently shared several past photos on her social media. The photos showed her beaming while holding her young son Shin-woo and everyday moments of taking selfies in front of a home mirror with her two sons Lee Jun·Shin-woo. The younger-looking Kim Na-young and the young i-dle in the photos moved viewers.
In particular, she candidly recalled the time in a post accompanying the photos. Kim Na-young wrote, "seven years ago today. Seeing young Shin-woo and a younger me makes me burst into tears," and added, "I somehow made it through. I want to hug my me from seven years ago." On another photo she added the sentence, "a day when I was barely getting by seven years ago," recalling a difficult time.
Earlier, Kim Na-young shared a family photo recently in which her husband My Q was feeding their son, conveying a happy daily life. Perhaps for that reason, this confession looking back on past hard times resonated even more strongly.
Kim Na-young married a businessman in 2015 and had two sons, but after divorcing in 2019 she raised the children alone. At the time she balanced broadcasting activities and parenting, frankly sharing practical worries and responsibilities, which drew much sympathy. She then began a public relationship with My Q in 2021 and announced her remarriage last year, receiving many congratulations. Kim Na-young has expressed affection for My Q, calling him "the person who has stayed by my side with great love and trust for the past four years."
Fans have also sent support in response to Kim Na-young's sincere recollection of moving from hard times to a happy present, saying, "you really went through a lot," "you look happy now so it's even more touching," and "I totally relate to wanting to hug my past self."
