Marvel hero Benedict Cumberbatch got into a heated argument over an alleged traffic signal violation.
On the 10th (local time), Page Six and other foreign outlets reported that Benedict Cumberbatch had a heated verbal exchange last week in London, England, with an angry cyclist.
In the released video, a man told Cumberbatch, "You are mistaken. You are lying. I was behind you the whole time," and Cumberbatch claimed he was the victim of "verbal abuse" by the man.
The man replied, "Of course. I verbally attacked someone who repeatedly broke the law," and Cumberbatch said, "I did it once," acknowledging the alleged signal violation.
The man said Cumberbatch violated the signal two more times, but Cumberbatch denied that. The two argued for about 10 minutes, after which the man reportedly left. Cumberbatch spent time taking photos with young fans.
A witness who filmed the scene said, "It was really absurd. The exaggerated road rage felt almost staged," and added, "Cumberbatch was nearly in an emotional outburst and captivated everyone watching. The two raised their voices at each other about five times."
According to the witness, they blocked a lane so others could not pass.
Another witness said, "The masked man was clearly some kind of vigilante. He seemed fairly surprised to learn the other person was Cumberbatch, but he did not let go of his anger," and added, "I am not defending dangerous driving, but the man's following and creating this situation was worse than Cumberbatch slowly passing the signal."
