On the afternoon of the 10th, TV CHOSUN "Gourmet Heo Yeong-man's dining journey" (hereafter "dining journey") aired the Boseong episode, featuring writer and artist Yoon Tae-ho, who wrote and drew "Misaeng," "Inside Men," and "Pine."
That day Heo Yeong-man said Yoon Tae-ho had been his apprentice and that their relationship had continued for 38 years. At the restaurant, Heo Yeong-man asked Yoon Tae-ho, "Is 'Misaeng' your representative work or is 'Pine' your representative work?"
Yoon Tae-ho said, "'Misaeng' is my representative work," and explained, "I am best known for 'Misaeng'," adding that his favorite character was "Section chief Oh, played by actor Lee Sung-min."
However, before becoming known for "Misaeng," Yoon Tae-ho endured a hard period of obscurity. He said, "I have been married for 27 years. In the first three to four years of marriage my annual salary was about 10 million won to 15 million won," which surprised listeners.
He added, "My wife was secretly borrowing money from her parents without my knowledge. I kept waiting to serialize in the outlet I wanted, and several years passed," he confessed, evoking sympathy.
Yoon Tae-ho said, "I printed the Misaeng standalone volume and brought money to my wife," and in response to Heo Yeong-man's question about his wife's expression he answered, "At first she was busy paying off debts. When 'Misaeng' later became a drama, we all watched it together as a family while grilling beef," conveying warmth.
