Model-turned-actor Park Jihoon has already been gone for six years.
The late Park Jihoon died on May 11, 2020, while battling stomach cancer. He was 32. His death at such a young age made the loss even more tragic.
According to his bereaved family, the late Park Jihoon was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer in February 2019 and after battling the disease for one year and three months, he finally closed his eyes.
At the time, Park Jihoon's family posted on the late man's social media, "We are posting this separately because we worry there may be people we failed to contact by mistake. We are deeply grateful for the warm condolences and encouragement you sent despite the spread of COVID-19. Thanks to you, we were able to send my younger brother off to heaven. It was a great comfort not only to me but to our family. We will not forget and will remember."
At 32, news of Park Jihoon's death at such a young age prompted many people to join in mourning. On Park Jihoon's social media, friends and fans left condolence comments such as "I hope he goes to a good place" and "I hope he does not suffer there and finds peace."
At the time, a close associate of the late Park Jihoon told OSEN, "It is so sad. He had been ill since last year and I even visited him in the hospital. He was a friend with a lot of talent as a model (it's tragic) ..." and added, "He had a kind heart and good interpersonal relationships."
Born in 1989, the late Park Jihoon, a former magazine model turned actor, became known after appearing in the 2017 cable tvN drama "Chicago Typewriter" as Jeon Doo-yeop, a new employee at the publisher Hwanggeumgom who works for Gal Ji-seok (played by Jo Woo-jin).
The late Park Jihoon also worked as a fitting model for a well-known shopping mall.
