Actor Kang Sung Yeoun's remarriage news has been reported, and attention has returned to remarks she made earlier this year about her "move from Gwanggyo." She appeared to be slowly preparing for a fresh start.
In January Kang Sung Yeoun shared on her social media her feelings about leaving Gwanggyo, where she had stayed for two years. At the time she said, "Two years of sitting at the dining table and savoring the seasons beyond. Looking at that tree's two years, we too have grown as much as the tree," leaving a regretful farewell along with photos of an empty house.
She then posted a photo of Gwanggyo's cafe street and added, "Thank you to the pillar that supported our family," evoking emotion. At the time, various speculations arose about the reasons for Kang Sung Yeoun's move. Because she had directly mentioned that her son had been subject to one-sided harm at school last year, some interpreted it as a move for the child's safety and psychological stability.
But Kang Sung Yeoun clarified the matter herself. She drew a line, saying, "I had been considering moving for a long time, and after deep discussions with my family we made the difficult decision," indicating it was not solely because of a specific incident.
Above all, another post she left at the time is being reexamined. Kang Sung Yeoun had cautiously referenced a new relationship, saying, "I have met a truly good person who cherishes and loves the children even more than I do, and I am living happily."
And about four months later, that remark's meaning seemed to become clear as Kang Sung Yeoun on the 11th announced her remarriage directly on her social media. She announced a new beginning, calling herself "the wife of the home we will newly build," and received many congratulations after even revealing a warm-looking photo of her husband's face. In particular, heartfelt confessions such as "You, who comforted and guarded my aching heart through long times, made me able to smile," and "You who gave me the strength and time to live again" drew encouragement from viewers.
Kang Sung Yeoun also described herself as "the mother of two boys in consecutive grades in elementary school, and the wife of the home we will newly build," and shared that she will form a new family with the children. Ultimately, her earlier words when leaving Gwanggyo—"our family has also grown"—are being read again as a sincere record written during the process of preparing for a new life.
