Actor Jeong Yun-min confessed that the photo with Hollywood actor Brad Pitt taken in Bukchon that drew attention was generated by AI.
On the 11th, Jeong Yun-min wrote on her personal social media, "So many people asked if he came to Korea after seeing the Bukchon photo, so I'm posting a clarification. To state the conclusion first, it is an AI-generated image."
Earlier, on the 9th Jeong Yun-min shared a photo saying, "Unbelievable to meet bread-hyung in the alleyways of Bukchon," and the photo showed Jeong Yun-min and Brad Pitt meeting at Bukchon Hanok Village.
Seeing this, netizens reacted in surprise, saying, "I thought it was AI," "Did he really come to Korea," and "Amazing," but Jeong Yun-min did not respond. After opinions emerged that the AI photo could constitute a violation of portrait rights and the spread of false information, she belatedly announced her position.
Jeong Yun-min said, "I was also scared that you could create a real person and a background this realistically, so I lightly shared it with the intention of raising awareness... It unintentionally received great attention."
She added, "It's really an astonishing era that technology has advanced enough for it to make the news. Everyone, be careful and be careful not to be fooled by fake photos!"
