'Misaeng', 'Pine' and 'Inside Men' writer Yun Tae-ho revealed behind-the-scenes stories that drew attention.
On the 10th at 7:50 p.m., TV CHOSUN's SIKGAEK: Heo Yeong-man's Baekban Journey (hereinafter 'Baekban Journey') Boseong episode featured cartoonist Yun Tae-ho, who wrote and drew 'Misaeng', 'Inside Men' and 'Pine'.
On that day Heo Yeong-man asked Yun Tae-ho, "How did you feel when 'Inside Men' was said to be made into a movie?" Yun Tae-ho recalled, "'Inside Men' was a work that stopped serialization. When someone came to buy the film rights, I didn't want to sell them, so I asked for a very high rights fee. Then they said, 'We'll do it,'" which drew surprise.
Yun Tae-ho continued, "I heard Lee Byung-hun was originally cast. So I said, 'Don't lie, why would that person appear?' because much of my cartoon contains rough content," he joked.
Inside Men is a noir film with a lineup featuring Lee Byung-hun, Cho Seung-woo and Baek Yoon-sik that is hard to see again. It features a political thug Ahn Sang-gu, who plans revenge on the gang that ruined him and who has slush fund files; prosecutor Woo Jang-hoon, who wants to use the existence of Ahn Sang-gu to succeed despite having no pedigree; and a presidential candidate and chaebol who must cover up a slush fund scandal.
Yun Tae-ho praised, "In Inside Men, there is a scene where a person named Executive Cho says, 'Cut it here' and orders people. We debated that most sensitively with the director, but actor Cho Woo-jin digested it very well."
Hearing this, Heo Yeong-man recalled Cho Woo-jin's memorable scene from Inside Men and added with a jab, "How can you be so cruel to someone like that? It means you have that cruel side inside you," which added to the laughter.
