Singer and musical actor Lee Ji-hoon directly expressed an apology over his wife Ayane's 'no-salt controversy.'
On the afternoon of the 9th, Lee Ji-hoon posted several photos on his personal SNS, saying, "After Children's Day and up to Parents' Day. These days are new for Ruhee, who is experiencing them for the first time since birth."
He added, "They will soon become memories, but each day is always happy and joyful because of you. I love you, Ruhee. I can see my childhood face more and more."
Lee Ji-hoon joked, "Our Ruhee is no-salt (doesn't even season)," then apologized, saying, "Sorry for being picky."
Earlier, Lee Ji-hoon's wife Ayane mentioned that their daughter Ruhee had eaten candy at daycare and said, "It was a bit shocking." She lamented, "Ruhee is still a baby who doesn't have seasoning, so she only eats puffed rice snacks and I didn't give her vitamin candy. But yesterday I found candy wrappers in the nonwoven bag she brought from daycare."
When netizens criticized, saying, "She's being fussy," Ayane replied, "Originally, the WHO recommends no seasoning for children under 24 months. It's not that we asked the daycare to make only our child no-salt, so is it such a ridiculous thing that we try our best to keep it at home?"
Even so, as the argument continued online, Ayane said, "I have never practically forced my standards on others. I just posted because I was a little upset," and Lee Ji-hoon also addressed the controversy and directly expressed an apology.
Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hoon and Ayane overcame a 14-year age gap and married in 2021. They welcomed their first daughter Ruhee in 2024, and after two miscarriages, recently announced a second pregnancy through in vitro fertilization.
