Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler entered an induced coma after intestinal surgery.
Bonnie Tyler's side said on her official website recently, "We are very sorry to report that Bonnie was admitted to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, where her home is located, for emergency intestinal surgery."
They added, "The surgery was successfully completed and she is now recovering. We know that her family and friends, and all her fans will be worried by this news and will be hoping for Bonnie's full and speedy recovery."
Bonnie Tyler was reported to have been transported to the hospital and undergone surgery after suddenly developing a perforated intestine and abdominal pain while staying at her home in Faro, Portugal.
Later, Bonnie Tyler's side said, "We sincerely thank you for the tremendous love and support you have shown Bonnie over the past few days. It means so much to us," and explained, "Bonnie has been placed in an induced coma by medical staff to aid her recovery."
They also said, "We know that you are all wishing for her recovery, and we ask that you respect her privacy during this difficult time. We will issue another statement if there is any further information to share."
Bonnie Tyler is a Welsh singer who has been loved for her husky voice. She performed in Korea in 1979 and 2012.
