The released photo shows Choi Yeon-soo with her face reduced in puffiness after childbirth. Choi Yeon-soo, who recently gave birth to a healthy daughter, had been swollen all over from edema, but after giving birth her swelling quickly subsided, revealing a noticeably slimmer face. In a previous video, her husband Kim Tae-hyun was also shown diligently giving foot massages to his hospitalized wife, attracting attention.
Choi Yeon-soo, who gave birth on May 6 a month earlier than her due date, said, "How badly did you want to be born, you little thing," adding, "I suddenly gave birth and came back. Maybe she knew it was time to come out because she was wriggling a lot at dawn. I went for a checkup as usual, but my blood pressure was very high. So they transferred me to a university hospital." She said she is usually hypotensive, but at that time it rose to 158-110.
She added, "Maybe because of pregnancy-induced hypertension, the swelling disappeared within a few hours after the baby came out," and said, "We were really worried because the baby might have to go to the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), but perhaps thanks to the steroid shot for lung maturation, the baby is breathing well. Also, what we worried about as a small size grew rapidly in a few days and was born at 2.4kg."
However, Choi Yeon-soo added, "The other issues were bearable, but every time I sit up and stand I feel like I will die. Please tell me how to get up without pain."
Meanwhile, Choi Yeon-soo is the eldest daughter of star chef Choi Hyun-seok and, after appearing on the Mnet audition program "Produce 48," has also worked as an actress. In September last year she married Kim Tae-hyun of Dickpunks, who is 12 years her senior, and became a mother.
