'Sokpulisho Dongchimi' singer Cho Young Nam mentioned his ex-wife, actress Yoon Yeo-jeong, surprising everyone.

Cho Young Nam said, "In 1984's 'Show Show Show' program I appeared with Nam Jin. I thought, that kind of student is taking the stage; at a young age he was singing songs of senior performers," adding, "He sang so well. That's why I called him. Cho Young Nam said, "When we went to perform in North Korea, Sul Woon-do went with his wife. At that time I wondered why such a pretty woman married that guy," revealing an odd memory. Sul Woon-do said, "When we went to North Korea we sold paintings, and when I looked closely with my wife at the paintings, Cho Young Nam came and gladly bought them," saying he was a generous senior.
Meanwhile, Cho Young Nam said he went to a bank in person for the first time after his divorce. He married actress Yoon Yeo-jeong in 1974, continued married life in the United States, and then divorced. Cho Young Nam said, "I was chased out because I cheated. I needed money, but I had never been to a bank until then," adding, "Even in the United States my ex-wife handled all the money management. After we separated, I had to go to the bank. My daughter was too young, and after the divorce I went to the bank for the first time," surprising everyone.
Cho Young Nam went on to say, "When I divorced I became a painter, and if I hadn't divorced and had continued living with her I wouldn't have become a painter. With a woman behind me, where is the time to think alone? So didn't I become a painter because we separated?" However, in 2024 Cho Young Nam was embroiled in controversy after mentioning Yoon Yeo-jeong, who has enjoyed acclaim as an actress and won awards at international film festivals for films such as Minari.
