Singer Hong Kyung-min confessed an embarrassing recognition story, drawing laughter.
Hong Kyung-min posted a long message on his personal SNS on the 9th along with a photo of him making fried rice himself at a restaurant. In the post he said "I simply saw there were many customers and only one staff member working, so I said, 'I'll just do ours, you're busy so go take care of your work.' Eventually I heard the question 'Excuse me, where is the restroom?' and I had to kindly answer that not all employees knew," he revealed the humiliating recognition story and drew laughter.
He said, "My wife laughed so much she took photos and kept laughing," and added, "Actually I have had many experiences like this. I was walking while on a phone call with earphones on when someone waved from over there and asked, 'Aren't you someone going to Sanggye-dong?' Also, while wearing bone-conduction earphones I stood to order coffee and the café owner naturally handed me a takeout package for delivery, so I explained, 'I came to order an Americano,'" he confessed.
He continued, "Should I start paying attention to fashion even now? Why did such a thing appear at all. If there had been something like a school uniform or uniform that singers were supposed to wear, that would have been nice," adding, "For the record, I have been named worst dresser about three times," which made people laugh more.
Colleagues offered comfort in response to Hong Kyung-min's 'bittersweet' confession. Actress So Yoo-jin wrote, "If you were perfect, you wouldn't be charming," and broadcaster Park Ji-yoon left, "Oppa, it's fine because your face is handsome." Netizens' comfort and encouragement toward Hong Kyung-min have followed.
Hong Kyung-min, who debuted in January 1997 with his first album 'Dedicate,' has been loved as a singer for 30 years.
