Girl group KATSEYE will take the stage at the American Music Awards, one of the three major music awards in the U.S.
KATSEYE will attend the 52nd AMAs on the 25th (local time) as a performer at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, U.S. The awards show will be broadcast live worldwide through CBS and Paramount+.
KATSEYE was nominated in three categories at this awards show: New Artist of the Year, Best Music Video and Breakthrough Pop Artist.
Because AMAs nominees are selected based on objective data such as streaming, sales and radio airplay, KATSEYE's nominations reflect the group's tangible achievements and explosive popularity in the North American market. They were listed among the performer lineup alongside prominent pop stars such as Maluma and Twenty One Pilots.
KATSEYE's new song "PINKY UP" hit No. 28 on Billboard's Hot 100 (April 25), striking global major charts. It also charted for four consecutive weeks on the U.K. Official Singles Top 100, accelerating its long-running success.
Their monthly listeners on Spotify surpassed about 33.59 million, and total SNS followers exceeded 48.94 million, showing a steep fandom expansion. Their previously released "Gabriela" and "Touch" have been repeatedly climbing the charts and enjoying extended runs.
Founded in the U.S. based on the 'K-pop methodology' led by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, KATSEYE has, in less than two years since debut, conquered major festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza, and is cited as a successful example of a "multi home, multi-genre" strategy.
