Singer Sung Si Kyung opened up about the difficult feelings of approaching juniors as a senior, drawing viewers' sympathy.
On the night of the 8th at 11:10 p.m., KBS 2TV music talk show 'The Seasons-Sung Si Kyung's eardrum boyfriend' featured Kim Jong Kook, Choi Yuri and BTOB's Lee Changseop, who delivered a variety of performances and candid banter.
On that broadcast, Sung Si Kyung revealed a surprise episode while talking with guest Lee Changseop about the "distance between seniors and juniors." Sung Si Kyung jokingly expressed disappointment that Lee Changseop, who remade his song twice, did not contact him first, but he soon nodded in understanding at the explanation from Lee Changseop, who is famously introverted (I).
Sung Si Kyung opened by saying, "Actually, it's often harder for seniors to approach juniors." He added, "Not long ago I was on a plane with the group aespa, and I wanted to greet them, but I watched from afar because I was afraid it would be rude," confessing that despite being a senior he was careful and considerate toward juniors.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook publicly asked Sung Si Kyung for a song, saying, "I have to release a 30th anniversary album by August of this year," which embarrassed Sung Si Kyung while giving the audience hope for a future collaboration between the two.
Choi Yuri revealed that she once sent a song to Sung Si Kyung but did not receive a reply. Sung Si Kyung explained, "It wasn't that the song was bad, I just judged that I wasn't the right person for that song," and added, "I often decline songs from the musician I respect, Yoon Jongshin, for that reason," showing a serious attitude toward great songs. The two then washed away any awkwardness by performing a fantastic duet of "Romeo N Juliet."
Lee Changseop reinterpreted Sung Si Kyung's "At that place, at that time," stimulating emotions. He recounted that during filming of the YouTube piece 'Ex-convict' he felt shy and couldn't do interviews, pacing for 40 minutes, showing typical introverted traits. But when the stage began he ran into the audience and interacted with fans, displaying a "stage-only power E" persona that turned the venue upside down. As soon as the song ended, he returned to the stage shyly, and Sung Si Kyung and the audience burst into laughter at his on-and-off charm.
