Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn (80) candidly revealed why she and actor Kurt RUSSELL (75) have remained partners without marrying for 43 years, drawing attention.
Goldie Hawn recently opened up without reservation in an interview with Entertainment Tonight about why she and Kurt RUSSELL have not become a legal couple.
Goldie Hawn said "We thought the formal institution of marriage would take something away from both of us," and "We want to choose each other voluntarily every day." She especially said, "I don't like the concept of 'possession.' Kurt would feel the same," and added, "For a happy life, each person must be free about who they are and what they think."
The two met on the set of the 1983 film Swing Shift and have been regarded as one of Hollywood's leading couples for 43 years. Goldie Hawn also said on a podcast in January, "I still feel a strong sexual attraction to Kurt RUSSELL. He is my 'sexy object' and is unbelievably handsome even now," displaying her passionate affection.
In this interview she also emphasized the "freedom" in their relationship. She said, "Freedom means liberation, and I don't feel trapped," and added, "We don't agree on everything, but the countless joys over the years we've spent together are the sustaining force of our relationship."
Meanwhile, Goldie Hawn recently reinvented herself as an author by publishing the children's book series The After-School Kindness Crew, and Kurt RUSSELL has continued active work appearing in the Paramount+ series The Madison.<
