'My Royal Nemesis' Lim Ji-yeon sensed the life force and saved Heo Nam-jun from an accident in which a mannequin fell.
In the first episode of SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama My Royal Nemesis, which aired on the 8th, Kang Dan-sim (played by Lim Ji-yeon) is shown saving Cha Se-gye (played by Heo Nam-jun).
On that day in the Joseon era, Kang Dan-sim, who was refusing the royal poison, was forced to drink it, vomited blood and collapsed. At the same time, dark clouds gathered, frost fell and an annular solar eclipse occurred, causing unrest in the surroundings. With the words, "So this is how it ends. Perhaps this is for me," she closed her eyes.
When Kang Dan-sim opened her eyes again, she had come to Joseon 300 years later, that is, the modern world. Not realizing it was a drama shoot, she responded to the line "the notorious villain Jang Hee-bin" by angrily saying, "You bastard, my name is Kang Hee-bin," which drew laughter.
Furthermore, bewildered by tall buildings and cars running on the road, Kang Dan-sim fainted in front of the car Cha Se-gye was riding in. Shouting "hell," she opened her eyes and crossed the road, saying, "Am I truly dead? Have I fallen into the endless hell? Hell?"
Just as she was about to be hit by a car, Cha Se-gye grabbed Kang Dan-sim and saved her, angrily saying, "Were you trying to die? If an accident happens like this, whose responsibility is it?" In response, Kang Dan-sim slapped him, saying, "How dare you," and "You filthy-mouthed wretch, how dare you speak so carelessly. Aren't men and women different? Are you not afraid of the king of the afterlife?"
After the scuffle, Kang Dan-sim grabbed a leaf loaded on a truck and wildly struck him. In turn, Cha Se-gye grabbed a flower and counterattacked, and when people gathered, he said, "I already knew you were out of your mind," offering his business card and adding, "Let the company cover the hospital bill." Then he muttered while looking at Kang Dan-sim, "Isn't she a crazy woman?"
Afterward, Kang Dan-sim walked around Seoul and was shocked to find that she had been branded and recorded in Joseon history as the notorious villain. Then it began to rain and, feeling cold, she cried, "I'm alive. I survived."
Kang Dan-sim vowed, "I don't care whether it's a reward or a punishment. What does it matter? I'm just glad to be alive rather than dead. Let's think of this not as a curse but as being reborn. Not a punishment but a second chance. Even if it's humiliating, I survived, so in this life I can consider it a reward if I want."
Meanwhile, thinking of Cha Se-gye, who looked aristocratic, Kang Dan-sim said, "From today on I'll use you as my spear and shield," and visited the company where Cha Se-gye worked. There, a historical drama audition was taking place, and Kang Dan-sim, under the modern name Shin Seo-ri, unexpectedly attended the audition.
At the audition site she met Cha Se-gye again. Kang Dan-sim approached saying, "I will make you an offer," but Cha Se-gye put up a wall. At that moment, sensing murderous energy, Kang Dan-sim blocked him from boarding the car, saying, "I felt the aura of an assassin."
Cha Se-gye, not believing her, pushed Kang Dan-sim's hand away. As the annular lunar eclipse progressed, Kang Dan-sim grabbed Cha Se-gye once more. Then a mannequin fell from the sky onto Cha Se-gye's car, startling everyone.
