Broadcaster Heo Kyunghwan strongly objected to being told he had to act as the female lead in the short-form drama.
On the afternoon of the 9th, MBC's Hangout With Yoo aired the first public showing of Yu Jae-seok's directorial debut short-form drama "My younger brother stole my woman and I decided to take her back" (abbreviated "Dong-hum-nae-yeo-da-bbat").
On that day, the members embarked on producing a short-form drama for the first time. Yu Jae-seok served as director, Haha as writer, Joo Woo-jae as assistant director, and Heo Kyunghwan as an actor, and they began the meeting.
The drama's title is "My younger brother stole my woman and I decided to take her back," and it tells the story of a younger brother who eliminates his older brother, seizes the lover and the group's successor position, and the older brother, thought to be dead, returns and begins a desperate revenge.
While reading the script, Heo Kyunghwan saw the female lead's name "Heo In-ok" and loudly protested, "Am I appearing as a woman? What are you doing right now?"
Yu Jae-seok explained, "We tried to cast someone, but it didn't work out. We tried to cast Kim Won-hee, but the situation didn't allow it. After much thought, we decided to make Heo Kyunghwan the female lead," which drew laughter.
