Actor Lee Kwangsoo debated ideas with Gold Land director Kim Seong-hoon.
On the 7th, a video titled 'Doesn't everyone have desire? | [Gold Land] Episodes 1-4 commentary | Disney+' was posted on the YouTube channel Disney Plus Korea.
That day, the cast of Gold Land watched the video with the director and added commentary. When the scene of Lee Kwangsoo, who plays Director Park, with his face on fire appeared, Park Boyoung exclaimed, "It was really scary," and said, "Every time he smiles you can see that tooth gem. I'm really glad we did it."
The production team asked, "Where did the tooth gem idea come from?" Director Kim Sung-Cheol opened by saying, "There's controversy about this," but Lee Kwangsoo replied, "Why is there controversy?" saying he didn't understand, drawing laughter.
Director Kim Seong-hoon explained, "I suggested it but he said it was his idea," and Lee Kwangsoo calmly countered, "I initially suggested, 'What if we do the tooth gem? I want Director Park to be a character who really likes gold.'"
Hearing this, director Kim Seong-hoon again insisted, "So I suggested that look," and Lee Kwangsoo further rebutted, "I searched everything on social media and said, 'Director, I'll go with this,' and the director said, 'Good,'" adding more laughter.
Meanwhile, Gold Land is a golden desire survival thriller in which Heeju (Park Boyoung) obtains 150 billion won in gold bullion from a smuggling organization and fights desperately to monopolize the gold amid a chaos of greed and betrayal.
