The group TWS has returned looking more mature and solid, beyond their fresh boyish charm. Through mini album No Tragedy, they sing about a deeper realm of love beyond everyday thrills and successfully opened a new chapter of their unique genre, "boyhood pop."
The most noticeable change in this album is TWS's strengthened musical prowess. Known to the public for clear, refreshing vocals, they showcase high genre understanding and more meticulous vocal expression in the new release. In the house-based title track "널 따라가 (You, You)", trendy tones and graceful falsetto stand out, and in the track "Get It Now(겟 잇 나우)" they deliver a twist with vocal techniques that bring out the rough texture of boom-bap hip-hop. Also, in "Back To Strangers(백 투 스트레인저스)", delicate breath control creates a calm sensibility, proving that TWS does not settle for simple "easy listening" but is a constantly evolving artist.
Their performances, called the "fifth-generation performance strongest," have also changed in texture. Moving beyond forceful moves that exploded with energy, the title track "널 따라가 (You, You)" leaves a mature afterimage with smooth motions, relaxed groove and precise tempo control. The visual changes also add credibility to the album's narrative. Including platinum-haired Shin Yu, who drew attention online, the members shed their previous comfortable casual looks and perfectly pulled off the so-called "nobleman look," pairing luxurious lace shirts and denim. Their sophisticated aura, reminiscent of a modern Romeo, clearly shows their expanded ability to handle broader concepts.
Their flexible variations and growth immediately led to enthusiastic public response. Mini album No Tragedy surpassed 1 million in album sales on its fourth day after release, earning TWS the honor of "first million-seller." Their domestic and international chart performance is also overwhelming. After ranking first on Hanteo Chart's weekly album chart (tracking period April 27–May 3), they also took first place on Japan's Oricon "daily album ranking" on April 4 and 6. The title track has also settled in high positions on major global digital charts, demonstrating powerful streaming performance.
TWS's strong momentum is spreading to the offline concert market as well. They were early confirmed to be invited to Japan's largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2026 (SUMMER SONIC 2026), taking the stage at a global rock festival. Above all, through the new tour starting in June, "2026 TWS TOUR '24/7:FOR:YOU'", they succeeded in entering Olympic Park KSPO DOME (formerly the Gymnastics Stadium), known as the "mecca of K-pop," just two and a half years after debut. TWS plans to conduct a large-scale global tour of 15 shows across eight cities worldwide. Expectations are growing for the new chapter of "boyhood pop" they will present as they continue to grow and evolve on the global stage.
