After the marriage contract leak scandal, Grand Prince Iaan (played by Byeon Woo-seok), who entered the palace, heightened the tension as he faced the enraged queen dowager. Grand Prince Iaan suggested, "Did you convene the royal clan office? Speak with me in the queen's quarters," to try to resolve the situation, but Yoon I-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon) cut him off coldly, "I do not want to hear any excuses."
Grand Prince Iaan tried to mediate by calling her "sister-in-law," but Yoon I-rang's anger did not subside. She, veins bulging, pressured Grand Prince Iaan and Seong Hee-ju (played by IU), asking, "Do you think you can be forgiven for daring to deceive the people and disgrace the royal family?"
In particular, Yoon I-rang delivered a cutting warning to the two, "Whether you sold your royal status or bought it, you had better be prepared," then pressed them further, saying, "To think you could protect yourself with that trivial contract—are you naive or stupid?" which left viewers holding their breath.
Afterwards, Seong Hee-ju noticed how tightly Grand Prince Iaan had clenched his fist to hold back his anger, seeing blood gather on his palm, and looked at him with concern. Grand Prince Iaan then warmly embraced Seong Hee-ju, who must have been more frightened than he was, and sweetly whispered, "It's okay. I'm not hurt."
