Blackpink member Jisoo was cleared of allegations that she failed to return garments.
Benjamin Bortmans, the designer who leads the fashion brand "Judaasim," which had targeted Blackpink member Jisoo's side for failing to return garments, posted a long explanation on his social media on the 8th saying, "I want to publicly clarify the situation involving Jisoo and her team and take responsibility for the way I initially raised this issue."
He made it clear, "Neither Jisoo nor Blissu ever stole, mishandled, shipped, or personally kept the outfits. I never intended to directly accuse her of such actions at any point."
He continued, "As an independent emerging designer, this situation has dealt a serious blow to my brand. Those garments are works that are extremely valuable to me emotionally and financially, and failing to get them back for a long time without clear communication hindered my work and future opportunities."
He also said, "To be clear, the invoice I sent to the team was to be charged only if the garments were not returned, and I had received assurance from the team that the garments would be safely returned." He added, "Through this explanation, I simply hope to separate the artist herself from this situation and the related communication problems. At the same time, I only ask that people understand the real damage and difficulties this has caused my brand and my work."
Earlier, he tagged Jisoo's social media account and posted, "Return my things," causing a stir. He said he had sent several outfits to Jisoo's Korean team six months ago for work on her album cover, but the shoot dates were repeatedly postponed and he still had not received the items back.
But as the controversy intensified, he explained that "I had no intention of attacking Jisoo" and said everything was being resolved.
