When actor Hyunbin won, a smile spread across Son Ye-jin's face.
On the 8th at COEX D Hall in Gangnam District, Seoul, the '62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci' was held, hosted by Shin Dong-yeob, Suzy and Park Bo Gum.
The awards ceremony 'Baeksang Arts Awards', established in 1965 to promote the development of Korea's popular culture and arts and to boost artists' morale, marked its 62nd year this year. In particular, this year, as it is the 60th anniversary of Korean musical theater, a musical institutional sector was newly established, bringing together broadcasting·film·theater and uniting all areas of popular culture and arts, breaking down genre boundaries and reborn as a festival that encompasses all fields of K-content.
Hyunbin ('Made In Korea'), Jisung ('The Judge Returns'), Lee Jun-ho ('Typhoon Family'), Park Jin-Young ('Our Unwritten Seoul'), Ryu Seung-ryong ('The story of Manager Kim who lives in Seoul and works at a large company') and others competed for the broadcasting sector's best actor trophy, and Hyunbin took the honor of winning.
When Hyunbin moved to the stage to accept the award, his wife Son Ye-jin could not hide her joyful smile as she captured the moment on her cellphone.
Hyunbin said, "When we first started this project the director said that during 'Harbin' we couldn't fully enjoy it, so this time let's enjoy what we couldn't enjoy then and shoot it fun. Looking back on those times, the set was fiercely intense day by day but it was enjoyable and happy."
