Actor Lee Se-hee transforms into the 'everyone's wannabe' top star.
Lee Se-hee appears as South Korea's top star Yoon Ji-hyo in SBS's new Fri-Sat drama My Royal Nemesis (directed by Han Tae-seop, written by Kang Hyun-joo, produced by StudioS and Gil Pictures), which premieres tonight (the 8th) at 9:50 p.m.
In the drama, Yoon Ji-hyo, played by Lee Se-hee, is a figure who has kept her place at the top for a long time and is called the "icon of dramatic transformation." He, who boasts overwhelming topicality by ranking first several times in portal site ideal-type tournaments, is expected to show the glamorous side befitting a top star representing South Korea.
But cracks appear in Yoon Ji-hyo's seemingly perfect daily life. As public attention begins to shift to her rival Shin Seo-ri (Lim Ji-yeon), the competitive streak she had kept hidden begins to surface. Although she outwardly wears a composed smile, the subtle standoff with Shin Seo-ri is expected to heighten the drama's tension. Viewers' attention is focused on the explosive chemistry to be displayed between Shin Seo-ri, whose soul is possessed by the 'villainess of the Joseon era,' and South Korea's top star Yoon Ji-hyo.
In the stills released ahead of the premiere, Lee Se-hee proves her top-star dignity by perfectly pulling off everything from a graceful hanbok to a sophisticated dress. Especially since she has built distinctive characters in various works such as Young Lady and Gentleman, Beauty and Mr. Romantic, and Reserved Sales, expectations are growing for the new acting transformation she will show in My Royal Nemesis.
