Actor Jung Si-ah revealed the joys and hardships of living with her father-in-law Baek Yoon-sik.
Jung Si-ah recently uploaded a video titled 'A 100-pyeong villa for the rich? Jung Si-ah tells all' to her personal YouTube channel Jung Si-ah Asijeong. The released video shows Jung Si-ah meeting with a modular-dwelling construction company and looking over new dwelling construction methods and model houses built using them.
Among them, Jung Si-ah was captivated by a 100-pyeong dwelling built following a country dwelling style. Although it was a modular dwelling, the construction cost per pyeong reached 20 million to 30 million won, making it a dwelling in the 2 billion won range.
In particular, Jung Si-ah, who has lived with her father-in-law Baek Yoon-sik for 17 years, was captivated by the spacious layout with separate living rooms on each floor. She said, "We are family, but our lifestyles are too different. Some degree of separation is necessary. I have never lain down in the living room to watch TV. We change clothes when we leave the room. Don't people usually change clothes when they go out? I meet everyone in the living room. If it is separated, it would be comfortable," expressing a wish for independent spaces.
She also, speaking from her children's room, said, "Our home originally had a Han River view and we could see fireworks. But high-rise apartments were built in front and the view was all blocked. The Han River view room was originally our daughter Seo-woo's room, and it disappeared so Seo-woo became very depressed. She said she couldn't see the sky or the Han River. But if we build a country dwelling, you can see the sky, and that alone would be healing," adding that she was taken with a layout in which each room has a balcony and terrace.
Jung Si-ah married actor Baek Do-bin and gave birth to two children, Jun-woo and Seo-woo. Baek Do-bin is the son of Baek Yoon-sik.
