'You Quiz on the Block' Girls' Generation member Hyoyeon candidly shared her feelings about fellow Girls' Generation member Tiffany's marriage.
On the 6th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz'), which aired on the 6th, Hyoyeon of Girls' Generation, now in her 20th year since debut and still captivating fans and the public with new charms, appeared alongside Yuri and Sooyoung, members of 'Hyori-su.'
Yu Jae-seok said, "Comments included that their sense of humor beat TaeTiSeo, it felt like a comedian recruitment exam, and weird sounds came out no matter where you tapped on the scroll," referring to the viral 'Hyori-su' video.
Hyoyeon said, "Taeyeon still doesn't care and calls it 'your own leader.' I wanted to be pricked, but when I saw Taeyeon's lack of reaction, I felt pricked," saying she is very serious. Yuri said, "I met Lee Sang-soo recently and after hearing 'Hyori-su' he said, 'I thought Hyori had done something,'" which drew laughter.
They were made up of leader Hyoyeon, center Yuri, and maknae Sooyoung. Even while introducing themselves, they bickered like sisters with lines such as "Why are you the center," "Aren't you sitting in the middle," and "I'm a fast '90 so I'm the maknae."
Girls' Generation, known for being friends and sisters who have supported each other over 20 years together, remained close. Hyoyeon said, "These days Seohyun recommends foods good for cancer prevention and suggests hot springs instead of trendy spots," which drew laughter.
Sooyoung said, "Two years ago I released a solo album in Japan. I was in very poor health. Our kids tease you when you're sick. When you tease them thinking they'll be consumed, it's nothing, but there was a strength that helped them get up. I was alone so I took a selfie saying I was sick and posted it in the group chat," and added, "At that time Yuri was drinking daytime alcohol in Jeju. She had rolled up her pants after hiking and said, 'Hey, Choi Sooyoung! Cheer up!'" and said she choked up.
Sooyoung said emotionally, "I miss that noisy feeling."
The members have now passed their mid-30s. Yu Jae-seok asked about Tiffany Young's marriage. Tiffany Young became the first Girls' Generation member to marry. Hyoyeon said coolly, "Actually she should have gone earlier, and I'm thankful Tiffany went," adding, "Someone had to break the ice. We're not young."
As Tiffany Young recently revealed her public relationship with actor Byun Yo-Han and that she was dating with marriage in mind, her marriage drew attention. Hyoyeon said, "I still dream of having many children," and added, "I love babies so much that thinking about that makes me feel I should date quickly." Yu Jae-seok asked, "So will you be next, Hyoyeon?" and Hyoyeon said, "I think words come true so I think I will be the next one," but laughed shyly, saying, "I don't know."
