Could we see "MUSIC BANK" held at the National Museum of Korea?
On the 7th, KBS and the National Museum of Korea said they have joined hands to ensure the successful hosting of the public broadcasters' summit in Seoul in October and to promote the international spread of Korea's cultural heritage.
KBS president Park Jang-beom and National Museum of Korea director Yu Hong-jun signed a memorandum of understanding that day and agreed to jointly pursue various cultural cooperation projects.
With the public broadcasters' summit taking place under the theme "the role of public media in the revival of tradition and culture," the two institutions plan to present "MUSIC BANK" in the outdoor space of the National Museum of Korea to introduce Korea's traditional culture and arts to public broadcasting leaders from around the world.
National Museum of Korea director Yu Hong-jun said, "Having the opportunity to inform the entire nation of the significance of the artifacts held by the National Museum of Korea through public broadcasting is, I think, the best promotional effect for our museum to reach the public," and added, "I entered into this agreement with a happy heart."
KBS president Park Jang-beom said, "The core of the K-wave, its source, is our culture, and the place where the essence of that culture is gathered is the National Museum of Korea," adding, "Since 'MUSIC BANK,' which will be presented as a free concert, will be held at the National Museum of Korea, I expect many tourists to visit this place." He went on to say, "I thank director Yu Hong-jun for gladly giving the opportunity for the PBI summit's premier event to take place at the National Museum of Korea, where our traditional culture is imbued, with K-pop and broadcasting officials together."
