He also said, "You have to intentionally hold gatherings, otherwise it's not easy to meet," and shared an anecdote, "I recently went on a trip to Japan and contacted Guk-ju." At that, Choi Daniel, surprised, asked, "Are you Japanese?" which drew laughter.
Kim Gu Ra said he has known Lee Guk-ju for 20 years and recounted, "I contacted her saying, 'You're in Japan, right? I'm going to Disneyland, let's meet,' and Guk-ju asked, 'Are you coming with a broadcast?' I said, 'I'm not bringing a broadcast,' and I just went to meet her. I went in plain clothes. But it was so awkward between us."
Explaining why he met Lee Guk-ju despite the awkwardness, he said, "We've known each other for 20 years, and she said she was in Japan, so I thought I should at least see her face; I met her with pure intentions. It was our first private meeting," but he added, "What really made me sorry was that she said she came to Japan because of me."
It turned out that Lee Guk-ju, who travels between Japan and Korea, had come to Japan because Kim Gu Ra had been there when he visited Korea. Kim Gu Ra expressed regret and gratitude, saying, "She wasn't in Japan when I went, but she came because of me. I felt very sorry."
