On the May 5 broadcast of SBS Plus "A real man's travel method in Kyushu" episode 3, a scene was shown in which Daesung opened up about his concerns about marriage.
That day Choo Sung Hoon and Kim Jong Kook bickered at the lodging. While putting laundry into the washing machine, as Choo Sung Hoon tried to hand clothes to Kim Jong Kook he fired a blunt line, "Ah no. You smell too much. No, you smell like The Man from Nowhere."
When a flustered Kim Jong Kook retorted, "Me? You're no joke," Choo Sung Hoon replied, "You're no joke. Your style only reeks of smell," and nailed it down.
Choo Sung Hoon also criticized his fashion, saying, "How do you match this color with a red hat. This just never matches." Hearing this, Kim Jong Kook said, "You dress exactly the same from one to ten. I've never heard that before in my life. When traveling it's best to wear durable clothes."
Then Choo Sung Hoon emphasized, "Durable is good and warm is acknowledged. But you can't smell," which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, Choo Sung Hoon asked Daesung, "How old will you be in 20 years?" When Daesung said, "Fifty-five, fifty-six?" Choo Sung Hoon said, "That's just right."
Daesung, who is 37 this year, confessed, "By then it would be great if I had a baby. I originally, when I was very young, vaguely thought I definitely wanted to get married before forty," and aired his concerns. Kim Jong Kook, who listened quietly, empathized, saying, "I was like that too. I naturally thought I would go for it."
Above all, Daesung lamented, "But these days the age at which you can work has increased, and these days even people in their 60s are active. If you're fifty these days you are really energetic. You're almost at your peak socially with the most power, experience and composure."
Choo Sung Hoon said, "But young people definitely think quite differently. You feel that a lot too, right?" Kim Jong Kook added, "But it can't be helped. Their thinking (young people) can never be the same."<
