Comedian Kim Hak-rae and his wife Im Mi-sook's stories of infidelity and gambling leave a bitter impression. The anecdote that he wrote as many as 110 written pledges is surprising.
On the 5th, Kim Hak-rae appeared on the YouTube program "Wonderful Life." That day, Kim Hak-rae looked back on his married life in the 1990s and said, "I lost a lot of money and caused my wife a lot of pain." Previously, Kim Hak-rae and Im Mi-sook have often brought up stories of infidelity and gambling on broadcasts. Because of this, Im Mi-sook confessed that she suffered from panic disorder for life and was hurt. Still, the wounds of the past did not seem to be easily erased; Im Mi-sook said, "When I think about that time I still feel sharp and in pain," revealing her hurt.
Nevertheless, Kim Hak-rae tried to hold on to the relationship until the end. While Im Mi-sook was away, he left a short note that said, "Im Mi-sook, you are really pretty," and when Im Mi-sook saw it she said, "Women like to hear things like this," and regained her smile. At the end he apologized and vowed, "I will take today as a turning point and live the rest of my life for Mi-sook," and expressed his feelings with a cheek kiss, showing that they had grown somewhat closer.
In the actual broadcast that day, Kim Hak-rae did not romanticize his past. Rather, he acknowledged, "My wife is right," and showed he was taking responsibility. Even after time passed he continued to apologize and showed signs of recovery. On wounds that are not easily erased, they were nevertheless two people trying to move forward together.
