The first round of the finals runs from May 6 at 10 a.m. to May 19 at 11:59 p.m. The second round of the finals runs from May 22 at 10 a.m. to June 5 at 11:59 p.m., and the final round begins on June 8 at 10 a.m. and ends on July 6 at 11:59 p.m. In this way, the popularity voting schedule is divided into three rounds in total.
Candidates are songs released from last year through April 30, 2026, divided into a total of seven institutional sectors, and awards are given solely based on voting. The sectors are Best popular song (BEST POPULAR SONG AWARD), Best popular solo male artist (BEST POPULAR SOLO MALE AWARD), Best popular solo female artist (BEST POPULAR SOLO FEMALE AWARD), Best popular male group (BEST POPULAR MALE GROUP AWARD), Best popular female group (BEST POPULAR FEMALE GROUP AWARD), Best popular trot (BEST POPULAR TROT AWARD), and Global rising star (GLOBAL RISING STAR AWARD). The released main poster also draws attention.
'KMA 2026' is a music festival and awards ceremony dedicated to the artists who shone in the music scene over the past year and the fans who supported them. KM Chart and KM Chart World host it, and the KMA organizing committee and UPICK (UPICK) organize it.
