The group 82MAJOR proved its unstoppable rise by surpassing 120,000 first-week sales for its fifth mini album.
On the 6th, according to Hanteo Chart and others, 82MAJOR (Nam Seong-mo·Park Seok-jun·Yun Ye-chan·Jo Seong-il·Hwang Seong-bin·Kim Do-gyun) recorded first-week sales (counting period April 28–May 4) of 120,238 for the mini 5th album FEELM. This is the first time since debut that they have passed the 120,000 mark, instantly outpacing the record of their previous release, Trophy.
The album rose to No. 2 on Hanteo Chart's daily album chart on its release day, and the title track "Sign" landed on Melon's Hot 100 chart, demonstrating mainstream appeal. In particular, it topped Spain's iTunes Top 100 song downloads chart and Vietnam's iTunes top albums chart, and appeared in top positions on charts around the world including Canada, Japan and Indonesia, showcasing its global strength. It also achieved meaningful results on China's largest music platform NetEase Music, continuing a trajectory befitting a winner of the "Overseas group with potential of the year" award.
At the center of the buzz is undoubtedly the performance: following the "Sign" music video surpassing 6 million views within a week of release, a performance video filmed on an underwater stage captivated global fans. 82MAJOR members once again demonstrated their true identity as a performance-driven idol by exuding restrained sexiness and charisma even in extreme conditions.
Additionally, 82MAJOR appeared one after another on major music programs such as M Countdown, MUSIC BANK, Show! Music Core and Inkigayo, showcasing dazzling visuals and solid live skills. Their sophisticated styling alternating between suits and white outfits and relaxed stage manner drew enthusiastic cheers from fans.
This album is particularly meaningful in that all members participated in the overall production, including lyric writing, composition and arrangement.<
