A designer who had accused Blackpink member Jisoo's side of not returning costumes explained the resolution and cleared up misunderstandings.
On the 6th Benjamin Bortmans, the designer who leads Antwerp-based fashion brand 'Judasim', uploaded a video to his social account with the word "update".
In the video, Benjamin Bortmans explained, "I was just contacted that everything is being resolved in the United States. Someone will be sent to Korea to return the items."
Earlier, he tagged Jisoo's social account and posted "give me my stuff," causing a stir. He said he had sent several costumes to Jisoo's Korean team for work on her album cover six months ago, but the work dates were repeatedly postponed and he still had not received the items back.
He then said the situation had been safely resolved. But Benjamin Bortmans targeted some netizens who were sending him abusive messages, asking them to stop the criticism and saying, "As designers we invest a lot of time. Not receiving a response and not being respected for six months is terrible. So I will not apologize. I mentioned Jisoo's name because I thought the whole team should treat the next people better and address problems when they arise. If not, we would have recovered nothing."
Benjamin Bortmans also posted another video saying, "I will update about the misunderstanding regarding Jisoo's situation." In the video he explained, "It seems I have been receiving many hateful messages online, but I never attacked Jisoo, so I wanted to make everything clear," and added, "I only used Jisoo's name to get a response from someone on the team; I had no intention of attacking her."
He said, "Her name appeared here and there on emails about the shoot, so I used her name," and explained, "I contacted the team and everything is being resolved." He added, "At the time I was very emotional and may have spoken out of turn. But now that it is resolved, we can move on to the next step."
